On a small number of vehicles, there may be a problem with the anti-lock brake system (ABS) hydraulic control unit. During hard braking, this could cause a sudden loss of brake assist and ABS braking. If this happens, there will be an increase in brake pedal effort that is required to stop the vehicle.
